Professor E.O.D. Addo-Yobo is Associate Professor of Child Health, School of Medical Sciences (SMS), College of Health Sciences, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and Honorary Consultant Paediatrician at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), Kumasi, and Head of Quality Assurance of the Hospital. He holds the MB ChB degree from SMS, KNUST, Diploma in Tropical Child Health (University of Liverpool), Master of Sciences (MCH – University of London), Membership of the West African College of Physicians, Doctor of Medicine (University of Manchester), and is a Foundation Fellow of the Faculty of Child Health and Paediatrics of the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons. His special clinical, teaching and research interests are in childhood asthma/pulmonology, immunization and child survival. He has many research publications on childhood asthma in Ghana and has contributed to several documents and policies for child health care in Ghana. He serves on several national and international committees including National Poliomyelitis Expert Committee and the Medical Technical Options Committee of the United Nation Environmental Programme, and has co-facilitated in Regional Vaccinology Courses for the African Region. He is also involved in developing and monitoring policies/guidelines for safe clinical practices as Head of Quality Assurance, KATH.
