About the Fund

The College Endowment Fund was setup to raise financial resources to support the activities of the College. The College has identified five (5) key focus areas for the utilisation of the funds. These focus areas are:

Establishment of a Learning Centre
Continuing Professional Development Programmes (CPD)
Sponsorship for Annual Overseas External Rotation Training/Exposure
Maintenance and upgrade of IT infrastructure
Development of a satellite office in Kumasi

Why Donate to the Endowment Fund?

Establishment of a Learning Centre

Establishment of a learning centre to train medical and surgical specialist in Accra within the college. Funding needed for:

training equipment
stipend/honorarium
local training workshops 4 times per year for maximum of 160 participants

Continuing Professional Development programmes (CPD)

Continuing Professional Development programmes (CPD) for training facilitators based on guidelines developed with Divisional Boards. Initiatives include exchange programmes, participation in conferences/workshops.

Sponsorship for annual overseas external rotation training/exposure

Sponsor annual overseas external rotation training/exposure for twenty (20) senior residents based on guidelines developed by the Academic Board. Related costs will include airfare and subsistence allowance.

Maintenance and upgrade of IT infrastructure

Maintenance and upgrade of IT infrastructure for the GCPS involving acquisition of hardware and implementation of e-learning solutions.

Development of a satellite office in Kumasi

Development of a satellite office in Kumasi (Ashanti Region) equipped with conference/training facility. The GCPS currently owns a land in Kumasi which is earmarked for this development.

Thanks to you, the College is able to train more specialists to gain the knowledge and skills to provide quality services at various medical facilities in Ghana and Africa.
