Paediatrics and Child Health

The programme will provide trainees competencies to identify biological, social, emotional, economic and environmental determinants of child and adolescent health. They will be able to institute appropriate diagnostic, therapeutic, rehabilitative, preventive and promotive measures for holistic care. The programme will enable trainees recognize child health as an international priority and its key role in national development. Trainees will learn the practice of this specialty in keeping with medical professionalism and ethics within the socio-cultural context.
