Orientation is mandatory for all new Residents (Membership and Fellowship).
Orientation introduces new Residents to all the resources and opportunities available as you start your journey at the College and prepares you for a successful transition to College life.
Orientation includes information about College administration, Resident training and services, academic life, academic advising and mentorship, and many more.
Dates for New Resident Orientation
This is going to be the formal medium of communication between the College and Residents. You are required to check your College email regularly for any communication from the College to you. The College would not accept any excuses for missing out on any communication that was sent to your email and was not attended to.
Within 2 weeks of your orientation, your Emails are set up by the College and notification sent to your personal emails provided to the College during your selection interview registration. You are required to follow the instructions in the email sent to set yourself up with your College Email.
The E-Port is an app that allows Residents to log in their rotations, procedures, workshops attended as part of their training with the College.
Within a month of your orientation, you would receive a text message from the College with your username and password for the E-port.
You are required to download the GCPS ePORT App from the Google Playstore or Apple Appstore and access it with the username and password sent to you.
There would be Training for the use of the GCPS ePORT App and the dates would be communicated to Residents. A Training video of the GCPS ePORT is available on the College website. You are advised to watch the training video before the formal training.
The College has access to a wide range of journals and other databases to aid in the training of Residents.
Within a month of your orientation, you would be provided with instructions through the College email to set up access to the E-resources. This would allow you to login and have access to subscribed resources from any location. You can always login via the College website or click here to visit the login page after you have been setup to it. There is a training video of using the College resources on the College website.

Yes, it is mandatory for ALL Senior Residents. The course is run twice each year usually in the months of July and November.
You can change programme in the same Faculty on approval from Faculty Chair, however, you cannot switch to a different Faculty unless you have sat for the Primary Exams of that Faculty.
You can update your contact information on the Application Portal. If you need to update other information other than your contact details, kindly write a letter to the College with details of the update and documents in support of the changes.
All Senior Residents should note that effective January 2025, Research Proposals must be submitted in the months of February, June and October.
