Public Health

The membership program of the Faculty of Public Health (FPH) of the GCPS aims to carry out professional post graduate specialist training in public health for doctors, promote public health practice of the highest standards and contribute to health policy advocacy, development, and implementation for national development. The two-year membership program prepares residents to be specialists in advanced public health practice.

Within the membership program courses are available in the following public health technical/sub-specialty areas:

1. Foundations of Public Health Practice (FPHP);
2. Health Policy, Management and Leadership (HPML);
3. Applied Epidemiology, Disease Prevention and Control (AEDC);
4. Family and Reproductive Health (FRH); and
5. Occupational and Environmental Health (OEH).
