The Minister of Health, Hon. Kwaku Agyeman-Manu has inaugurated the governing council of the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons (GCPS).
The 13-member board of the Council of the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons, which was sworn in on Tuesday 14th December 2021, is chaired by a Consultant Anaesthesiologist, Professor Yaw Adu-Gyamfi.

- Audrey Forson, Vice President for Physicians, GCPS
- Samuel Debrah, Vice President – Surgeons, GCPS
- Paul Nyame, Representative from Medical and Dental Council
- Ishmael Kyei, Representative from Ghana Medical Association
- Oheneba Owusu-Danso, Representative from Teaching Hospitals
- Frederica S. Illisasu, Representative from Attorney General Department
- Daniel Ansong, Representative from Medical Schools
- Nana Kojo Danso-Mensah, Eminent Person
- Seth Makafui C-J Dayie, Residents’ Representative
- Patrick Kuma-Aboagye, Representative from Ministry of Health
The Minister of Health, Hon. Kwaku Agyemang-Manu, charged the Council, to ensure productivity and run efficiently. He also admonished the Council to make better use of their internally generated funds (IGF) to make up for the government’s funding shortfalls.
