Profile

Dr. Naa Okaikor Addison is a Senior Specialist in Medical Microbiology at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital where she has worked for the past 14 years. Having completed her medical training at the University of Ghana Medical School, her keen interest in microbial diseases led her to pursue a post-graduate programme in Medical Microbiology.

She is the first Fellow in Medical Microbiology trained by the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Addison is currently the Faculty Secretary for the Faculty of Laboratory Medicine. She is a trainer of residents and senior residents of the College as well as a Supervisor/Marker for the Diploma in Project Design and Management course.

As a Part-time Lecturer of the University of Ghana Medical School, she teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate medical professionals. Dr. Naa Okaikor Addison has many years of experience in the diagnosis, management, surveillance and prevention of infectious diseases as well as in antimicrobial stewardship.
