Robert Djagbletey is an old boy of Accra Academy and an alumnus of the University of Ghana Medical School. He loves teaching and passionate about clinical research. He is a Senior Lecturer and the current Head, Department of Anaesthesia, University of Ghana Medical School. He is a Consultant Anaesthetist and interventional pain specialist at the Department of Anaesthesia, Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.
He is a Facilitator/ Instructor at the Medical and Surgical Skills Institute, Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.
A member of the faculty board, Faculty of Anaesthesia, Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons. He is also a member of the European Society of Regional Anaesthesia (ESRA) and was the secretary of the Ghana Anaesthetists Society from 2015 to 2017.
His clinical interests include regional anaesthesia and interventioanal pain management. Research interests include exploring novel Regional Anaesthetic/pain management techniques. He is also interested in investigating and managing perioperative fluid & electrolytes abnormalities.

Workplace based coaching & mentoring / practicum: I train and coach residents in intensive care and anaesthesia for otorhinolaryngology. Residents in fellowship are trained in regional anaesthesia and interventional pain procedures. They are also mentored in research and supervised during the conduct of the research for their dissertations.
