Overview

There was the need to develop a well structured programme for the training of surgeons for the country. These qualified surgeons were to fill the vacancies in district, regional and tertiary institutions.

The Goal of the College of Surgeons is to train and upgrade high caliber surgeons to provide accessible high quality surgical service throughout the country, and also provide a comprehensive and structured higher training programme in Surgery.
