Office 365 for Residents
Microsoft Office 365 is the College official cloud storage, communication, and collaboration platform for Staff, Faculty and Residents.
As a Resident you are eligible for free access to Office 365 for Education, for the duration of your studies. Office 365 gives you access to Microsoft Office apps (cloud-based) such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote.
Office 365 also offers additional collaboration and communication tools such as access to OneDrive (which gives you 1TB of online storage) and Teams.
How can I access Office 365
To access Office 365;
- Visit portal.office.com
- Login with your College email address (this is your email address ending in @rt.gcps.edu.gh) and your password.
Note: The College email address and password is emailed or sent to Residents by text when they enroll into the College.
- You will then be taken to the Office 365 environment where you can access all your applications, including your email account.
Accessing College Outlook Email on Android/iOS or Windows Phone
- Download and Install Microsoft Outlook from Playstore or Appstore.
- Sign in with your College email address (this is your email address ending in @rt.gcps.edu.gh) and your password.
MICROSOFT TEAMS
Residents also have access to Microsoft Teams – a new digital hub for communication and collaboration across the College and beyond. Now it’s easy to make purposeful real-time connections and work together from anywhere, on any device. Teams provides a space to chat, hold meetings, make calls and share files, all in one place.

How to Download Teams
Teams has clients available for desktop (Windows, Mac, and Linux), web, and mobile (Android and iOS) to make sure Staff and Residents can stay connected.
Windows and Mac (Computers & Laptops)
- To download Teams on Windows and Mac, Click here
- Sign in with your College email address (this is your email address ending in @rt.gcps.edu.gh) and your password.
Andriod and iOS (Phones & Tablets)
- Download and Install Microsoft Teams from Playstore or Appstore
- Sign in with your College email address (this is your email address ending in @rt.gcps.edu.gh) and your password.
Login through the Browser You can also login and use Teams online (in a web browser) if you don’t want to download it.
Note that you are eligible for this free product while you are working or studying here – when you leave or graduate and your College email account is closed, you’ll no longer be able to take advantage of it – so make sure you do while you can!
